Events and Announcements (2005 - 2006)
 

Icebreaker/Orientation in Richland, Washington

Date: August 26-28, 2005
Location: Richland, Washington
Participants: This event is required for all students attending the 2005-06 SSGP core sequence. All core sequence faculty will be in attendance.
Arrival: Students are responsible for arranging their own travel and lodging and should arrive in Richland on 26 August 2005. If arriving on 27 August 2005, students must arrive in time to attend the opening session (see below).
Suggested Lodging: Shilo Inn (509-943-2234). Students should try to share rooms. There is free shuttle service to the airport.
Meals: Students are responsible for their own meals except that a barbecue is planned for Saturday evening.
Departure: Students should plan to depart any time on Sunday, 28 August 2005.

Opening Session: Saturday, 27 August 2005; starts at 8:30 a.m. at WSU-Tri-Cities, room TBA.
Geology Field Trip: Saturday, 27 August 2005, 1 – 5 pm; vans will meet field trip participants at WSU-Tri-Cities, location TBA.
Barbecue: Saturday, 27 August 2005, 6:30-9 PM at the Shilo Inn. Please let Nancy Hinman (nhinman@selway.umt.edu) know as soon as possible if you are a vegetarian.
Travel Funds: Students should contact their graduate dean for travel funds to the Icebreaker/Orientation.
