Application, Admission, & Registration

Student Participants

A student who wishes to participate in the SSGP must be admitted as a graduate student to an INRA university.

Registration & Tuition/Fees

Students will register for SSGP courses and pay normal tuition and fees through their resident INRA university. Contact the graduate dean for more information about the registration procedures and tuition/fees.

Assignment of Open Seats in the SSGP Core Sequence

After all SSGP fellows scheduled to take the SSGP core sequence have been assigned a seat, the remaining seats are to be made available to other qualified INRA graduate students (non-SSGP fellows) on a first-come first-serve basis up to a total maximum enrollment of 25 students. Students who are not SSGP fellows but are interested in an open seat must contact the SSGP Core Course Coordinator (CCC) who has sole discretion to judge the qualifications of the student. If the CCC judges the qualifications of the student to be adequate and a seat is available, then the CCC notifies the student's graduate dean that the student may enroll in the core sequence at his or her home university (the student is also copied on this notification). Students enrolled in open seats are required to participate in all facets of the core sequence at their own expense.

Elective Course Management Plan

The SSGP Elective Course Management Plan provides all policies and procedures for the following tasks associated with SSGP elective courses: approval of the teaching university by the Council of Graduate Deans, selective offering by INRA universities, student registration and payment of tuition and fees, delivery methods, quality control, reporting of grades, and compensation to the teaching university.
